I am extremely disappointed with Knight Plumbing & Heating, especially as a
long-time customer who has been very satisfied with them for many years.
Over 20 years of Interactions with Knight technicians, my experience had
been 100% positive. Their technicians have always been professional,
knowledgeable, and the work has been excellent.
Recently, my 91-year-old mother-in-law had a heating problem. Knight's team
spent time troubleshooting the furnace, including replacing the igniter and
attempting a motherboard replacement. Ultimately, they recommended replacing
the furnace, which I agreed was reasonable. Knight then sent a salesperson
to assess the situation. After speaking with his manager, they credited us
for almost all of the money we had already spent troubleshooting the old
furnace, which we genuinely appreciated. The salesperson explained that
because the replacement furnace was high efficiency, the exhaust would need
to be vented through the side of the house rather than using the existing
roof vent. Based on my previous experience with Knight, I trusted their
recommendation completely.
The problems started when the technician arrived to install the furnace and
called me to say that we would now also need a new water heater. The reason
given was that the old furnace and water heater had previously shared a
5-inch vent, but once the new furnace was vented separately, the water
heater would be left using that vent by itself and apparently required a
different venting arrangement. None of this had been discussed with us
beforehand.
The furnace was installed and vented through the side of the house. Then, by
mistake, I was charged the full amount for the furnace without deducting the
approximately $2,000 deposit we had already paid. This was just a simple
mistake and could be easily rectified the next business day.
I contacted the salesperson both about getting the deposit refunded and to
ask why the water-heater venting issue, or possible mitigation, had not been
identified and discussed before we agreed to the furnace replacement.
His response was essentially that he had missed it, but that a new water
heater would only be another roughly $1,200 if Knight kept our deposit. At
that point I was extremely frustrated and asked to speak with his manager. I
was told the manager had been informed, but we never received a phone call
or email from the manager.
Later that same week, a City inspector came to inspect the installation. One
of the first things the inspector identified was that the contractor needed
to remediate the venting because the installation had left an "orphaned"
water heater and the venting was not compliant as installed. We were advised
that the permit rejection would be going back to Knight Plumbing & Heating
for remediation.
That is what makes this situation so disappointing.
This issue should have been identified before the furnace was sold and
installed. From my perspective, either the salesperson did not recognize a
fairly common venting issue. What bothers me most is that this experience
has damaged the trust I had built with Knight over approximately 20 years of
having them work in my home.
Their technical people have consistently been excellent, and I want to make
that very clear. My concern is with the sales process, the lack of upfront
identification of the venting issue and especially the lack of follow-up
from management after I specifically requested to speak with someone.
Unfortunately, this particular
experience has significantly changed my confidence in the company.

Great experience; I am glad I chose K night plumbing, Heating and Air conditioning. We did a combo unit for heat and air conditioning. Jason Rogozinski was great as advisor, he explained well to chosen the equipments. Then Mahdi ( Technician) was awesome, who installed the system in my home. Mahdi was awesome, had great communication and was very professional. I recommend 100%choosing this company and this technician to our community for their heating and cooling services, will done work!!!

Dan was professional, experienced, on time and easy to converse with. Since moving into my apartment, just over 2 years ago, whenever I ran the dishwasher it would drain and it’d back up into my sink and I would have to plunge to clear. Last month the pipes ended up clogging fully and now after the cleaning there is no issue.
Dave and Ethan installed our hot water tank today. They were very friendly and professional. Great work!

Did a large project of heat pump install, new furnace, hot water tank replacement and water softener install. They were incredibly responsive; Jason R came to provide an estimate right away and Bing and Sorento completed all the work only 3 days later. The crews were professional, hard-working, and took the time to get it right, including running back to the shop to get the ideal parts for the job when a lesser installer would have hacked it with what they had on hand. Easy to work with, great value-for money and would use again.
I am very happy for the AC install Knight Plumbing did for me yesterday. Kunal,Jordan and Bryan were very friendly and professional. They did the job well and finished it faster than I expected. It is our first time to get central AC in our home and I am very happy with Knight Plumbing.
Had reason to employ Knight twice in last couple months and we were very happy with the service on both occasions. The first was in moving a duct for our hood fan (which required cutting an new hole in the exterior wall) during a kitchen renovation. On short notice, Knight personnel responded and in a tight timeframe delivered an excellent solution. On the second instance, shortly after, we had a leak in a pipe below our kitchen floor. Again, expertly resolved, On both occasions service was fast, friendly and very well done. Really appreciate the service.
we’ve been calling Knight for years (for a variety of issues in plumbing and HVAC) and every single time they’re great! They’re so accommodating, and every single person who has come to work on my house (there have been many at this point!) has been great. They’re all so friendly and knowledgeable. After installation, they always take time to make sure we understand how things work, and go above and beyond.
